Getting to and from Tullamarine Airport:

The SkyBus service also offers transport to Southern Cross Station in the city centre, departing from the airport every ten minutes.  There is also a hotel transfer service as part of SkyBus, which provides transfer services to Adara Collins, Tune Hotel, City Limits Hotel Apartments, City Garden Hotels and Mantra on the Park.

Starbus Airport Shuttle Bus offer’s a very broad service area, this includes the following suburbs Carlton, North Carlton, East Melbourne, North Melbourne, South Melbourne, Southbank, West Melbourne, Parkville, Sth Yarra, Jolimont, St Kilda Rd after Park St, St Kilda (Fitzroy st), Albert Park (Queens Rd only) and many others, if you are not sure if our Airport shuttle services your area please give us a call and ask one of our friendly operators between 6am – 7pm – 7 days a week.

Melbourne Airport Shuttle is a regular bus service from the airport into the city. The Shuttle Bus goes to Vibe Hotel, Ibis Budget, Mantra on the Park, City Garden Hotel and Plum Serviced Apartments, as well as various different areas of Melbourne.

Melbourne’s Public Transport System:

Melbourne’s Train, Tram and Bus system is managed by Public Transport Victoria (PTV). Timetables, Ticketing Information and a Journey Planner can be found on their website,  ptv.vic.gov.au

To get around Melbourne’s Public Transport system you will need to purchase a valid Myki card [$6.00] and top it up with either Myki Money [single trips] or Myki Pass [weekly or monthly pass]. Prices range from $3.58 [2 hr – Full fare – Zone 1] up to $35.80 [Weekly rate 7 day pass – Full Fare – Zone 1]. For more details on fares, click HERE.

You can buy and top up your myki at close to 800 retailers including all 7-Eleven stores, the ticket office window at Premium Stations and staffed V/Line commuter stations, from a myki machine (full fare myki cards only) located at all train stations and major tram and bus interchanges, on their website and by calling 1800 800 007 6am – midnight daily.

Buying your myki: The card price for a full fare myki is $6 and $3 for a concession, seniors or child myki.

You can use your Myki card for trains, trams and buses. There is a Myki card reader on each mode of transport that you MUST put your Myki card on to the register your travel. On trams for instance, they are by the doors. You must touch on, but you don’t need to touch off for trams. You must touch on AND off for buses and trains.

Most taxis in Melbourne are YELLOW so you can’t miss them. If taxis are available for hire the light on the roof will usually be ON. If the light is OFF it usually means the taxi is occupied.

MALTHOUSE THEATRE

Tram 1, Stop 18 corner Sturt and Grant Street, Southbank, or any other tram down St Kilda Road, Stop 17 corner Sturt Street and take a 3 minute walk. Catch any train to Flinders Street and walk 12 minutes to the venue.

There is a Melbourne Bike Share Station on Sturt Street (purchase a helmet from the IGA, just a little further along Sturt Street). Bike racks available outside the foyer.
