Julian is a curator and theatre maker, currently the Artistic Director of NORPA (Northern Rivers Performing Arts), a theatre company based in Lismore NSW.
Julian creates devised theatre works that engage communities with the creation and/or presentation of new Australian work. Julian has directed opera, circus and youth theatre as well as large-scale events. Julian has also worked extensively as a movement director and teacher of physical theatre and acting.

Graduate of Charles Sturt University BA Theatre/ Media, NIDA’s Directors course and trained as a performer in London with Philippe Gaulier.
Based in Lismore Northern NSW, NORPA presents a Season of curated and homegrown works that are challenging, accessible and adventurous. Increasing access to the performing arts is at the core of NORPA’s artistic program, embracing diversity in the region and engaging the community in relevant and dynamic ways.
NORPA produces original theatre works, often in partnership with independent theatre & dance companies. NORPA’s theatre is developed through researching in and with local community, and collaborating with renowned professional artists across a multitude of art forms.
