December Dance is considered the biggest dance festival in Flanders with a very clear concept: Every uneven year I invite an international acclaimed choreographer as curator of the festival. Together and in dialogue we built the programme. Every Uneven year then I focus on the contemporary dance scene from a certain region or country. Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (’07), Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker (’09), Akram Khan (’11), Wim Vandekeybus (’13) and Jan Fabre (’15) were curators in the past and I focuses already on Québec/ Montréal (’08), Central Europe (’10), the Nordic (’12) and Asia (’10).
In my season programme I present approx. 25 dance productions, international and national companies, emerging and established artists…
