BlakDance – cultivates and promotes dance in Australian communities and beyond.
We support artists and communities across many forms of dance and diverse geographies of histories, songlines and protocols. We connect collaborators and communities, fuel creative exchange and build public discourse, in turn strengthening aesthetics of Indigenous art forms and our dance sovereignty. Dance sovereignty includes Indigenous communities demonstrating and defining what is great art which in turn develops authentic experiences for all audiences.
