From 1990, Wendy Martin was a television arts producer for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and the Special Broadcasting Service.
In 2000 she joined Cultural Affairs at the City of Sydney and curated a program of outdoor performance across the city during the Olympic Games.
In 2001 Wendy joined Sydney Opera House as a producer and in 2006, was appointed Head of Theatre and Dance. In this period she was the founding curator of Message Sticks Indigenous Arts Festival, developed the international performance series Adventures in the Dark and in 2008 founded Spring Dance Australia’s first international contemporary dance festival.
For the past four years Wendy was Head of Performance & Dance at Southbank Centre, London where her achievements include creating the disability arts festival Unlimited. She was recently appointed Artistic Director of Perth International Arts Festival 2016-19.
